It seems like we just started summer and now are preparing for fall and getting back into the full swing of things at Immanuel. On Sunday, September 10th, we will kick off the beginning of Sunday school and our fall schedule with Rally Sunday.

The word β€œrally” means β€œa mass meeting of people to show support for a cause.” During the week of September 10th, we will go back to two worship services, at 8:00am and 10:30am and Sunday school returns at 9:15am. Midweek activities begin on September 13th with EPIC Singers, Jr. Lutherans, 76ers and Confirmation. Don’t forget about High School Hangouts on Sunday nights starting on September 17th.

What cause are we rallying around? The call to make disciples of all nations by baptizing and teaching all that Jesus commanded us to teach. Rally Sunday is our response to a gracious and loving God. Rally Sunday is an opportunity to witness to this community our faith in Jesus Christ. Rally Sunday is an opportunity to change the world one person at a time.

Rally Sunday is an opportunity for us to shout to the world that faith in God is not dead, that the church is not dead, but is alive and bringing hope to the world.

We rally for our favorite athletic teams, for parades, and for holidays. September 10th, is our day to rally for the Triune God and for Immanuel Lutheran Church.

I look forward to seeing you on September 10th, as we declare to the world, that God is our Savior, our refuge and our strength.Β
