Education

 

Education is a primary focus at Immanuel.  We strive to provide both adult and children’s educational programming that not only teaches, but encourages and supports those who attend.

Children Ages 3 — 2nd grade

Sunday school is the cornerstone of the education program for young children.  Classes are broken down by age, starting at ages 3 through 2nd grade.  Every Sunday at 9:15, a lesson is taught, along with activities that align with the message.

Junior Lutherans — Children in the 3rd  — 5th grade

Junior Lutherans meets from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM during the school year.

Sunday School is also available for this age group on Sunday mornings at 9:15 during the school year.

 

Confirmands — Youth in the 8th - 9th grade

Sunday School is available for this age group on Sunday mornings at 9:15 during the school year.

Immanuel has a 2-year comprehensive confirmation program for the 8th
and 9th grade youth.  Classes are broken down by grade and meet from 7:30—8:30 on Wednesday nights during the school year.
 

High School — Youth in the 9th — 12th grade

Sunday School is available for this age group on Sunday mornings at 9:15 during the school year.


Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is offered in the evenings for one week during July to members and all youth in the Waukee community.
